FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How do I book a new appointment on this website?

Choose the doctor you want to see and press their booking button (usually Book Now). Booking then takes three steps.

1. Patient Details: enter your mobile number, press Send OTP, type the 6-digit code from the SMS and press Verify OTP. If you are already signed in, this is skipped. If you are asked for your details (the first time you book, or if something is missing), fill them in and press Save details. Then, under Who is this for?, choose yourself or a family member and press Continue.
2. Select Slot: pick a date, then a time, and press Continue. Only the times that person can book are listed.
3. Review & Pay: check the details, tick the box to agree to the Terms & Conditions and Refund Policy (and any other box shown), and press Pay & Confirm Booking. Your appointment is confirmed once the payment goes through.

If a follow-up with this doctor is due for that person and the clinic has follow-up times open, you are shown follow-up times instead. See the question "How do I book a follow-up on this website?" further down this page.

How do I book a new appointment in the app?

Sign in with your mobile number and the 6-digit code sent to you by SMS. First time in the app? Fill in your details and tap Save and continue. On the Home screen, tap Find a doctor (or Book a new appointment), then tap Choose doctor under the doctor you want. Pick a date, then a time, and tap Review & pay. Check the details, tick any consent box that is shown, and tap the pay button, which shows the amount (for example Pay ₹350 & confirm). Pay on the page that opens: your appointment is confirmed once the payment goes through. If there is nothing to pay, the button says Confirm booking instead.

To book for someone else on your account, tap Book for a family member on the Home screen, then Book a visit on that person's card, and carry on the same way.

If a follow-up with that doctor is due and the clinic has follow-up times open, the app shows follow-up times instead. See the question "How do I book a follow-up in the app?" further down this page.

These steps are for the latest version of the app. If your screens look different, update the app from the App Store or Google Play.

How do I book a follow-up on this website?

Start the same way as a new appointment: press the booking button of the doctor you saw, verify your mobile number with the OTP (skipped if you are already signed in), and under Who is this for? choose the person the follow-up is for. If their follow-up is due, the page says so and shows until when it is valid. Press Continue: only follow-up times are listed, and the earlier visit is filled in for you. Pick a date and a time, press Continue, check the details, tick the box to agree to the Terms & Conditions and Refund Policy (and any other box shown), and press Pay & Confirm Booking. If the follow-up is free, the total shows ₹0 and it is confirmed straight away with nothing to pay. If the clinic has no follow-up times open, the page tells you, and you can book a regular appointment instead.

If the page asks you to choose between New appointment and Follow-up visit, press Follow-up visit. New appointment stays selected until you change it.

Already signed in? When a follow-up is due and the clinic has follow-up times open, the top of your Dashboard says Your follow-up is due (or Follow-ups due if there is more than one), with a button to book each one. It opens the doctor's booking page with the right person chosen: press Continue to see the follow-up times.

How do I book a follow-up in the app?

When a follow-up is due and the clinic has follow-up times open, the Home screen shows it at the top: Time for your follow-up (for a family member, for example, Time for Asha's follow-up). Tap Book follow-up. Only follow-up times are shown. Pick a date, then a time, and tap Review & pay. Check the details, tick any consent box that is shown, and tap Confirm booking (or the pay button with the amount, if the clinic charges for the follow-up).

If more than one follow-up is due, the card says Your follow-ups are due. Tap Choose a follow-up, then Book a follow-up visit on the one you want.

No card? Open the Visits tab, choose Past, open your earlier visit with that doctor and tap Book follow-up. If that button is not there, a follow-up can't be booked for that visit right now, and the visit usually shows a note saying why. If you are unsure, please call the clinic.

These steps are for the latest version of the app. If your screens look different, update the app from the App Store or Google Play.

Why do I have to enter my mobile number before I see any times?

Because the times you can book depend on who the visit is for. A follow-up may be due, or that person may already have a visit booked with this doctor. Your mobile number lets the clinic find your earlier visits, so you are shown only the times you can actually book. It is also where your appointment updates are sent.

If you are already signed in, you are not asked again.

Why am I shown only follow-up times?

Because a follow-up with that doctor is due for the person you are booking for, and the clinic has follow-up times open before its last date. Until then, the follow-up is the visit to book with that doctor. A new appointment with the same doctor is not accepted, whether you book on this website, in the app or at the front desk.

If the clinic has no follow-up times open, you can book a regular appointment instead, and a note tells you why.

This applies only to that person with that doctor. You can still book a different doctor, or book for someone else on your account.

Why does it say I already have an appointment with this doctor?

Each person can have only one appointment booked with a doctor at a time. On this website, and in the latest version of the app, you are told this before any times are shown. Press View appointment to see the visit that is already booked. You can book this doctor again for that person once that visit has taken place and is marked completed (the clinic does this, or it happens automatically just after midnight after the visit day), or if it is cancelled.

If it says a visit was missed, that visit has to be dealt with first. Open it (in the app, View missed visit): if Reschedule or Cancel & refund is shown, you can use one of them. If not, please call the clinic.

To book the same doctor for someone else on your account, press Book for a family member instead (in the app, Book for someone else instead when the booking was for a family member).

Until when can I book a follow-up?

For as long as the prescription from your original visit is still valid, up to and including its last date. On this website, that date is shown when you book the follow-up and on the follow-up card on your Dashboard. In the app, it is shown on the Home screen card (when one follow-up is due) and under Book follow-up on your earlier visit. After that date, please book a new appointment instead.

If the clinic set no last date, there is no deadline. On this website, you can then choose between Follow-up visit and New appointment when you book. In the app, open the Visits tab, choose Past, open your earlier visit with that doctor and tap Book follow-up.

A follow-up has to be with the same doctor you saw, for the same person (yourself, or the family member the original visit was for), and on a later day than the original visit.

How do I add a family member and book for them?

On this website: while booking, under Who is this for?, press + Add family member, fill in their full name, relation, age and sex, and press Add. They are chosen for the booking straight away. You can also add them under Family Members in your account.

In the app: tap Book for a family member on the Home screen. Your family list opens. To add someone, tap + (or Add family member at the bottom), fill in their details and tap Add member. Then tap Book a visit on the card of the person you are booking for.

If there is no add button, you have added as many family members as the clinic allows. Please contact the clinic.

The appointment is made in their name, and their visits, prescriptions and receipts stay under your account. Each person is treated separately: your appointment never stops you booking the same doctor for a family member, and a follow-up for them comes from their own visit, not yours.

How do I cancel an appointment?

Open the appointment and press Cancel (in the app, Cancel appointment). Check the Refund summary, press Verify & cancel, type the code sent by SMS to your registered mobile number, and press Confirm cancellation. You can cancel online up to 24 hours before the appointment time.

Your refund may be less than what you paid. Depending on the clinic, a cancellation fee may be deducted, and the card or UPI charge on your payment is not returned. The Refund summary lists every deduction and the amount you will get back before you confirm. If the clinic moved your appointment, you get the full amount back: see "What if the clinic reschedules my appointment?".

When can I not cancel online?

In these cases, please call the clinic instead.

1. Within 24 hours of the appointment time. For an All day appointment, the 24 hours count back from the start of that day. The exception is an appointment the clinic moved: see "What if the clinic reschedules my appointment?".
2. After the visit is completed, or if it is already cancelled.
3. If nothing was paid online, for example a booking paid at the clinic counter, or a free follow-up.
4. After you missed the appointment, unless Cancel & refund is shown on it.

What if the clinic reschedules my appointment?

You are told about the change, and you are not stuck with it. When the clinic moves a booking you paid for online, you may cancel it yourself for a full refund — no cancellation fee is deducted — even if the new time is less than 24 hours away.

That right stays open until the end of the day before your new visit date. If the clinic moved you to later the same day, or that deadline has passed, call the clinic: they can still cancel it and refund you in full. If the new time suits you, you do not need to do anything.
